Abstract:
Compositions comprising acid salts of amine-functionalized styrene-maleic anhydride resins are disclosed. The salts can be dissolved in organic solvents, UV/EB polymerizable monomers and/or oligomers, and/or water and act as a polymeric surfactants to disperse pigments or fillers, emulsifying agents, or hard resin additives in a variety of formulations. The compositions react under UV/EB cure conditions, and provide enhanced properties such as cure speed, hardness and adhesion to polymer compositions.

Abstract:
A sound activated toy vehicle includes a body, a chassis, and a motor. The chassis accommodates the body and has at least a front wheel and a rear wheel. The motor is drivingly connected to at least one of the front wheel and the rear wheel. The toy vehicle also includes a sound transducer configured to generate an electrical signal in response to detected sound. The toy vehicle also includes a controller having an input electrically connected to the sound transducer and an output electrically connected to the motor. The controller changes the output to the motor when the electrical signal is received by the input from the sound transducer. The toy vehicle also includes a vehicle accessory having an exterior portion. The vehicle accessory is mounted for movement between a first position and a second position by mechanical power from the motor.

Abstract:
The invention is a spring-driven toy vehicle having front and rear chassis portions, at least one front wheel and at least one rear wheel. The front chassis portion is hingably connected to the rear chassis portion. The chassis portions are capable of a pivotal motion relative to one another from a first undeflected position to a second deflected position. A drive motor is mounted to one of the front and rear chassis portions. The motor contains a motor spring. A drive axle is operably connected with the motor spring. The drive axle is connected to at least one front wheel or one rear wheels to rotate the at least one connected wheel. A rotational coupling is configured to transfer the pivotal motion of the chassis portions relative to one another into a rotational motion to wind the motor spring.

Abstract:
A projectile shooting toy comprises a body housing, a projectile delivery tube formed with an interior of the housing and a motor driven projectile firing apparatus having a trigger and projectile cannon pivotally mounted to the body housing. Activation of the trigger causes the cannon to move from a stored position to a deployed position, allowing a projectile to enter an inlet of the projectile cannon from the projectile delivery tube. Activation of the trigger further causes a firing ram to abruptly strike the projectile and fire it from the cannon. In a preferred embodiment, the projectile shooting toy is in the form of a helicopter.

Abstract:
A lever activated toy vehicle includes a body, a chassis and a lever. The chassis accommodates the body and has a front wheel and a rear wheel. A motor is disposed within the chassis and is drivingly coupled to at least one of the wheels. The lever is movably supported on the toy vehicle so as to be accessible by a user for movement between a first position and a second position. The toy vehicle further includes a moveable part and an actuator mechanism. The moveable part has at least a portion on the exterior of the body and a portion on the interior of the body. The actuator mechanism is operably coupled with the motor and the moveable part and is configured to move the moveable part from the concealed position to the revealed position after the lever is moved from the first position to the second position.
Polyolefin Composition Having Dispersed Nanophase And Method Of Preparation

International Classification:

US Classification:

Abstract:
A polyolefin composition comprising a discontinuous polymer phase dispersed in a continuous polyolefin phase is disclosed. The discontinuous polymer is polymerized by a method comprising reacting a blend or mixture of the polyolefin and one or more polyethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of a free radical initiator. Articles and materials made from he composition exhibit several advantageous properties as compared to the corresponding unmodified polyolefins, for example printability, paintability, and dyeability in the case of spun fiber, sheets, automotive applications such as interior parts and bumpers; toughness and abrasion resistance in the case of flooring, and impact strength in the case of siding.
Leak Test Adaptor Apparatus For Facilitating Leak Testing Face Mask Respirators
Leak test adaptor apparatus for facilitating leak testing face mask respirators including an outer member having a bore therethrough, the bore having a first end and a second end; an inner member disposed in the bore of the outer member, the inner member having a channel therethrough defining a flow path for passage of the gas through the channel from the first end to the second end of the bore; a pressure responsive valve connected to the inner member for regulating the flow of the gas through the channel; and a gas sampling port in communication with the bore for sampling the gas in the bore. The pressure responsive valve closes the channel when the gas pressure near the second end of the bore is greater than the gas pressure near in the channel and opens the channel when the gas pressure nearer the second end of the bore is less than the gas pressure in the channel. The pressure-responsive valve, which is disposed in the flow path of the gas, includes a valve seat connected to the inner member, a valve shaft connected to the valve seat, and a substantially thin disk-shaped gate member slidable connected to the valve shaft, which gate member is capable of closing and opening the channel by sliding along the valve shaft when acted upon by the difference in gas pressure between the channel and the second end of the bore.
