Abstract:

Embodiments of the present disclosure include compositions for use in enhanced oil recovery, and methods of using the compositions for recovering oil. Compositions of the present disclosure include a nonionic, non-emulsifying surfactant having a CO-philicity in a range of about 1.5 to about 5.0, carbon dioxide in a liquid phase or supercritical phase, and water, where the nonionic, non-emulsifying surfactant promotes a formation of a stable foam formed of carbon dioxide and water.

Abstract:

A method for growing bulk boron arsenide (BA) crystals, the method comprising utilizing a seeded chemical vapor transport (CVT) growth mechanism to produce single BAs crystals which are used for further CVT growth, wherein a sparsity of nucleation centers is controlled during the further CVT growth. Provided herein are reagents and methods for simultaneously enriching many potential rare genetic variants at different genetic loci. The rare variants enriched can include single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), single nucleotide variants, or small insertions and deletions. Curable compositions for dynamic epoxy-based thermoset adhesives and/or sealants are provided. Methods of applying the compositions to form strong, low-stress, cured adhesive polymer films are also provided. The cured polymer films use crosslinkers that include disulfide and carbon-nitrogen bonds, wherein the disulfide bonds impart dynamic chemistry to the polymer network structure in order to the achieve adaptable thermoset adhesives and sealants.
