An auxiliary frame for detachably mounting in front of a spectacle frame includes a mounting frame and a retention arrangement. The mounting frame supports two shelter lenses for detachably mounting on a spectacle bridge. The retention arrangement includes two guiding members and two urging members. The two guiding members are rearwardly extended from two inner sides of the shelter lenses respectively and defined a guiding distance between the two guiding members which is smaller than the lens distance of the spectacle frame. The two urging members define an urging distance which is larger than the lens distance of the spectacle frame, such that when the guiding members are extended at the two inner sides of the spectacle lens respectively, the two urging members are adapted for applying an urging force against the two inner sides of the spectacle lens respectively.
A spectacle set includes at least a decorative frame for supporting two lenses in position. The decorative frame includes two lens rims which are shaped and sized corresponding to the lenses, a bridge extended between two inner sides of the lens rims, two side extensions provided at two outer sides of the lens rims for coupling a pair of temples respectively, and a free-hand securing device detachably mounting the two lenses on the lens rims respectively in a toolless manner.

A spectacles set includes a lens frame, a decorative frame and a lens engaging arrangement. The lens frame includes two lenses and a lens retention arrangement spacedly supporting the two lens in position. The decorative frame includes two lens rims defining two lens areas respectively, a bridge extending between two inner sides of the lens rims, and two side extensions extending at two outer sides of the lens rims. The lens engaging arrangement is provided at a rear side of the decorative frame to detachably engaging with the lens frame at a position that when the lens retention arrangement is detachably mounted at the rear side of the decorative frame in a hidden manner, the two lenses are alignedly positioned at two lens areas respectively so as to keep an aesthetic appearance of the decorative frame with the two lenses.

Abstract:
A graphical user interface for a videophone in a cable television system allows the user to access the videophone functionalities with an input control device and a television monitor. The user can place a call, receive a call and store/access/call addresses using a remote in conjunction with the graphical user interface display screens. The videophone has several elements including a user interface, a graphics engine, a network interface, a remote control interface, and an output audio/video line connected to a television monitor. The user interface receives and processes control inputs using a microprocessor and the graphics engine generates the display screens using a DSP. Depending on processing requirements, the DSP may implement the user interface rather than the microprocessor. Also, anti-aliasing fonts are used to generate a high quality display. To save processing cycles, the anti-aliasing fonts may be retrieved from a look-up table rather than being generated in real time.

Abstract:
Provided herein are transmitter ligands that improve photon upconversion of near infrared light (NIR) to visible light. The presently provided ligands are complexed to semiconductor nanocrystals and improve triplet energy transfer from semiconductor nanocrystal to annihilator in triplet-triplet annihilation. Suitable applications include bio-imaging.
