Abstract:
A method, system and network node for detecting indoor traffic of a wireless communications network by obtaining data associated with an operation of a cell of the wireless communication network and determining a quality grading and coverage grading for the cell from the obtained data. The combined quality and coverage grading results are assessed to determine an approximate value corresponding to an amount of cell traffic assessed as being indoor traffic and generating an output indicating the amount of cell traffic as being indoor traffic.

Abstract:
A method, apparatus and network node for clustering a terrestrial area based on Geohash coordinates by selecting a node based on a Geohash area identified by a Geohash string of a predetermined length; subdividing the Geohash area into subareas by increasing the Geohash string by a length of one; and sequencing through the subareas to identify subarea/subareas that exceed a threshold number of a selected parameter. For subareas not exceeding the threshold number of the selected parameter, combining those subareas into clusters without exceeding the threshold number of the selected parameter in respective clusters. For subareas exceeding the threshold number of the selected parameters, subdividing those subareas into further subareas by increasing the Geohash string by one and sequencing through the further subareas to place the further subareas into clusters without exceeding the threshold number of the selected parameter.

Abstract:
A method at a network node for compensating for inter-frequency coverage disparity between multiple cells operating across a coverage area of a wireless communications network. The method determines a disparity in signal coverage over the coverage area between a first cell and a second cell, wherein the first cell operates at a different frequency spectrum or frequency band from the second cell and wherein the network node determines the disparity in signal coverage by analyzing network data collected for the first and second cells. The method determines when the disparity in signal coverage meets a set criterion; and when the disparity in signal coverage meets the set criterion, adjusting coverage shape of one of the first cell and the second cell over the coverage area to reduce the disparity, wherein the adjusting of the coverage shape is performed by tilting signal coverage of the antenna at the transmission point.

Abstract:
A method includes identifying an optimal backlight value for at least one quality level of a first video segment. The method also includes transmitting data for the first video segment. The transmitted data for the first video segment includes a message containing a first set of display adaptation information. The first set of display adaptation information includes the optimal backlight value for the at least one quality level of the first video segment. The method further includes identifying a backlight value for the at least one quality level of a second video segment. The method also includes determining a maximum backlight value change threshold between successive video segments. In addition, the method includes applying temporal smoothing between the optimal backlight value and the backlight value based on the maximum backlight value change threshold.

Abstract:
A video decoder performs a method of dynamic voltage/frequency scaling (DVFS) for video processing. The method includes parsing a bitstream associated with a video to determine embedded information associated with a complexity of a first portion of the video, estimating the complexity of the first portion of the video using the embedded information, determining a voltage and frequency to be used for decoding the first portion of the video based on the estimated complexity, and decoding the first portion of the video at the determined voltage and frequency.
