Abstract:
Embodiments of a multi-radio platform and method for mitigating the effects of interference are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the multi-radio platform includes co-located radios including a Bluetooth transceiver and a wireless network transceiver. The wireless network transceiver may apply a transmit-active noise-cancellation matrix to signals received by the wireless network transceiver when the Bluetooth transceiver is transmitting and may apply a transmit-inactive noise-cancellation matrix to signals received when the Bluetooth transceiver is not transmitting. The transmit-active noise-cancellation matrix may mitigate effects of emissions generated by the Bluetooth transceiver when the Bluetooth transceiver is transmitting. The transmit-inactive noise-cancellation matrix is to mitigate effects of platform noise generated by platform elements of the multi-radio platform.

Abstract:
When retransmitting lost packets of data to multiple devices in a wireless network, the original sequence of packets containing all the lost packets may be encoded into a smaller number of packets for the retransmission. These encoded packets may be collectively addressed to all the intended receiving devices through broadcast or multicast addressing. These encoded packets may then be selectively decoded by the receiving devices, using the successfully received previous packets as part of the decoding process. Repetitive exclusive OR algorithms may be used for encoding and decoding.

Abstract:
Embodiments may comprise logic such as hardware and/or code to adaptively control the transmission power for a wireless channel. In many embodiments, adaptively controlling the transmission power may reduce or, in some embodiments, minimize interference between the wireless display (WiDi) transmissions and other transmissions such as multimedia content streaming over another wireless channel to the notebook via a second generation (2G) channel, third generation (3G) channel, or a future long term evolution (LTE) channel.

Abstract:
A method is provided for vehicle to vehicle communication among vehicles having wireless communication links. Upon receiving notification of a sudden change in vehicle behavior, a vehicle broadcasts a priority message to surrounding vehicles within a transmission range. If an emergency event has occurred, a repeat cycle is defined for re-broadcasting the message, and a maximum number of initial repetitions for the message is specified. The message is transmitted repeatedly by a leader vehicle, with a pause between each transmission, until the maximum number of repetitions has been reached.

Abstract:
Examples are disclosed to track sport implements and/or objects of interest. An example apparatus includes a first coil to generate a first magnetic field having a first vertical component with a zero magnitude along a first line of interest and a second coil partially overlapped with the first coil, where the second coil is to generate a second magnetic field. The example apparatus also includes a sensor to measure a magnitude of the first magnetic field in the first line of interest and a processor to determine an object of interest has crossed the first line of interest based on the magnitude of the first magnetic field measured by the sensor.

Abstract:
A controller comprises a communication interface to receive an anchor localization dataset comprising a plurality of anchor range measurements and a processing circuitry to identify a qualified subset of anchor range measurements from the anchor localization dataset, wherein the anchor range measurements in the qualified subset are consistent, select a first anchor range measurement in the anchor localization dataset from outside the qualified subset of anchor range measurements, and add the first anchor range measurement to the qualified subset of anchor range measurements when the first anchor range measurement is consistent with the anchor range measurements in the qualified subset of anchor range measurements.
