Philosophy:

I received my Hematology and Medical Oncology training at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston/ TX and I also completed an additional subspecialty training in Blood and Marrow Transplantation at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center/ also located in the Texas Medical Center/ Houston. My primary research interest is in the treatment of solid tumors/ such as breast cancer/ kidney cancer/ or gastrointestinal cancer and the potential to use stem cells or bone marrow transplantation as a treatment approach for solid tumor. I believe that the future trend in treating cancer is a multidisciplinary approach/ which combine the traditional modalities - surgery/ chemotherapy/ or radiation therapy/ with other newly developed modalities/ such as immunotherapy or target-specific treatment. The battle of fighting cancer is not easy. Combining all forces will be one of the key points toward the victory.
