Abstract:

An electric power system for an electric vehicle, including: first charging and discharging current paths connected to a first battery unit; second charging and discharging current paths connected to a second battery unit; third charging and discharging current paths for a connection with an electric control system of the vehicle; a first power switch between the first discharging current path and the third discharging current path; a second power switch between the second discharging current path and the third discharging current path; a controlling unit to set the first and second power switches based on states of the accumulators, at least one of the first and second battery units being swappable. A controller, a method, and a vehicle comprising the system are also disclosed.

Abstract:

A electric personal mobility device may include a main body including a rider-support-platform structure and a steering column coupled to the rider-support-platform structure. The electric personal mobility device may further include a wheel arrangement, having at least one front wheel and at least one rear wheel, supporting the main body. The at least one front wheel may be steerable by the steering column. According to various embodiments, the rider-support-platform structure may include an elongate hollow housing structure enclosing an internal space partitioned to define a first and second longitudinal-internal-battery-compartments. Each longitudinal-internal-battery-compartment may be extending lengthwise along respective longitudinal side of the elongate hollow housing and having a respective rear opening at an aft portion of the elongate hollow housing structure. The rider-support-platform structure may include a rear-wheel-fork fixedly extending longitudinally from the aft portion between the rear openings. The rear-wheel-fork may be holding the at least one rear wheel.

Abstract:

A method of operating an electric power system, which may include: determining a charge state of a first battery unit and a charge state of a second battery unit; determining a difference between the charge state of the first battery unit and the charge state of the second battery unit; and determining whether to enable discharging simultaneously of both the first battery unit and the second battery unit, or to enable discharging of one of the first and second battery units, based on the difference between the charge state of the first battery unit and the charge state of the second battery unit. At least one of the first and second battery units may be a swappable battery unit. The disclosure further relates to an electric power system and to a computer executable code including instructions for operating an electric power system.
