Abstract:
Displaying a funnel from clickstream data as a hierarchy to a user for analysis wherein the funnel represents an ordered path of web pages successively viewed by the user. The invention includes clickpath visualization software to enable the user to easily analyze and evaluate clickpaths by focusing only on subpaths of interest. The invention software provides the user with various functions including, but not limited to, zoom, sort, expand, reverse, preview, and activate.

Abstract:
A system and method for extracting funnels from at least one input clickstream (CS) representing an ordered path of successively viewed web pages. The invention stores the CS in one or more tree structures in one scan, then traverses each tree structure to identify funnels satisfying input criteria, if any. The input criteria includes depth criteria, width criteria, starting page criteria, and end page criteria.

Abstract:
A method and system for automatically summarizing a video document. The video document is decomposed into scenes, shots and frames, and an importance value is assigned to each scene, shot and frame. Keyframes are allocated among the shots based on the importance value of each shot. The allocated number of keyframes are then selected from each shot. The number of keyframes may be altered for greater or lesser detail in response to user input.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for verifying relevance between terms and Web site contents are described. In one aspect, site contents from a bid URL are retrieved. Expanded term(s) semantically and/or contextually related to bid term(s) are calculated. Content similarity and expanded similarity measurements are calculated from respective combinations of the bid term(s), the site contents, and the expanded terms. Category similarity measurements between the expanded terms and the site contents are determined in view of a trained similarity classifier. The trained similarity classifier having been trained from mined web site content associated with directory data. A confidence value providing an objective measure of relevance between the bid term(s) and the site contents is determined from the content, expanded, and category similarity measurements evaluating the multiple similarity scores in view of a trained relevance classifier model.

Abstract:
A system and method for location-specific searching. The invention correctly identifies explicit and implicit locations in a search query, and provides an appropriate dominant location. Top search results are obtained and analyzed to determine which terms in the query often appear in combination, and the query is tokenized based on the analysis. An explicit location indicating a location intent is most likely treated as an individual token, and the explicit location is treated as the dominant location of the query. In the case of a false positive, wherein the explicit location in a query is not the location intent, the explicit location is likely to be present with other terms that provide context. A token will likely include these terms together. The explicit location will therefore not be used to generate location-specific results in the case of a false positive.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for related term suggestion are described. In one aspect, term clusters are generated as a function of calculated similarity of term vectors. Each term vector having been generated from search results associated with a set of high frequency of occurrence (FOO) historical queries previously submitted to a search engine. Responsive to receiving a term/phrase from an entity, the term/phrase is evaluated in view of terms/phrases in the term clusters to identify one or more related term suggestions.

Abstract:
A system that provides binds or associates a clickable hyperlink with an object that appears in a video stream. The hyperlink may be sent in a separate stream from the video stream, and user interfaces are provided to a user to activate the hyperlink. Activation of the hyperlink may cause a redirection to an associated website. Furthermore, feedback may be provided as to the user's activity regarding interest and activation regarding particular hyperlinks in the video.

Abstract:
Usage context obtained from search query logs is leveraged to facilitate in discovery and/or similarity determination of key search phrases. A key phrase extraction process extracts key phrases from raw search query logs and breaks individual queries into a vector of the key phrases. A Similarity Graph generation process then generates a Similarity Graph from the output of the key phrase extraction process. Information relating to the similarity levels between two key phrases can be employed to restrict a search space for tasks such as, for example, online keyword auctions and the like. Thus, instances can be employed to find frequent misspellings of a given keyword, keyword/acronym pairs, key phrases with similar intention, and/or keywords which are semantically related and the like.
