Abstract:

An ultra-lightweight, high strength ceramic proppant made from mixture of naturally occurring clays, preferably porcelain clay, kaolin and/or flint-clay, earthenware clay or other naturally occurring clays having an alumina content between about 5.5% and about 35%. The proppant has an apparent specific gravity from about 2.10 to about 2.55 g/cc, and a bulk density of from about 1.30 to about 1.50 g/cc. This ultra-lightweight proppant is useful in hydraulic fracturing of oil and gas wells, and has greater conductivity than sand at pressures up to 8,000 psi as measured by Stim-Lab after 50 hours and 275 F. on Ohio Sandstone, in the presence of deoxygenated aqueous 2% solution of KCI.

Abstract:

In an embodiment an illumination system includes an illumination source that emits a primary electromagnetic radiation having a spectrum of wavelengths and an energy conversion layer that converts at least a portion of the primary electromagnetic radiation to a secondary electromagnetic radiation having a different spectrum of wavelengths than the primary electromagnetic radiation. The energy conversion layer may have a viewing surface, a bottom surface opposed to the viewing surface, and an edge surface normal to the viewing surface and the bottom surface. The primary electromagnetic radiation may be incident on the edge surface of the energy conversion layer.

Abstract:

A user equipment (UE) is configured to perform a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) in an un-licensed system. The UE includes at least one antenna configured to communicate with a base station. The UE also includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to: send and receive data through the at least one antenna, in response to failing to decode a transport block transmitted by a first downlink carrier, transmit a negative acknowledgement message to the base station, and receive a re-transmission of the transport block from a second downlink carrier. The first downlink carrier comprises a unlicensed spectrum carrier and the second downlink carrier is different from the first downlink carrier.
