Stellar Attitude-Control Systems And Methods With Weighted Measurement-Noise Covariance Matrices

Hughes Electronics Corporation - El Segundo CA
International Classification:
G01C 2102
US Classification:

Abstract:
Stellar attitude-control systems and methods are provided with enhanced accuracy because they recognize that important star tracker errors exhibit a boresight symmetry and that these errors can be accurately defined by weighting a measurement-noise covariance matrix R(t ) with variances that are functions of off-boresight angles of detected stars. A method of the invention derives off-boresight angles from star-tracker signals of detected stars. These off-boresight angles are combined with variance coefficients to generate off-boresight variances r (t ) that are functions of the off-boresight angles and, in particular, correspond to star tracker color shift errors. A gain matrix K(t ) is then calculated with a weighted measurement-noise covariance matrix R(t ) that includes the off-boresight variances r (t ). This gain matrix is used to generate an attitude estimate matrix X*(t ) for use in spacecraft attitude control. The variance coefficients are preferably modified to include star tracker focal length shift errors which are also a function of off-boresight angles.
Atmospheric Pressure Photoionizer For Mass Spectrometry

Syagen Technology - Tustin CA
International Classification:
H01J 4910
US Classification:
250288, 250423 P, 250382
Abstract:
A monitor that can detect a trace molecule that is ionized at approximately one atmosphere. The molecule is ionized with a photoionizer and detected by a detector. The monitor may include a number of techniques to introduce a sample into the photoionizer at approximately one atmosphere. One technique includes creating an electrically charged spray that is directed into the ionizer. The photoionizer may include a plurality of light sources that each ionize the sample with a different radiation energy.
Nasal Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (Nimv) Control System In A Ventilator
A ventilator including an inspiration flow control unit and an expiration flow control unit coupled to the inspiration flow control unit. The ventilator also includes a nasal intermittent mandatory ventilation (NIMV) control system coupled to the inspiration flow control unit and the expiration flow control unit. The NIMV control system is configured to automatically and simultaneously adjust an inspiration flow and an expiration flow. A pressure of the inspiration flow is increased from a baseline pressure to a control pressure. A pressure of the expiration flow is returned to the baseline pressure.
High Frequency Oscillation Ventilator Control System
A high frequency oscillation ventilator including an oscillating piston control system and a mean airway pressure control system. The oscillating piston control system and the mean airway pressure control system are closed-loop control systems. The oscillating piston control system is independent of the mean airway pressure control system.

Abstract:
Technologies for assigning a user-generated issue report to an appropriate team for investigation are disclosed. A log file associated with an issue report is parsed to create an object model. The object model is a hierarchy of objects containing data emitted over time by a computer application associated with the issue report. Rules analyze the content of the object model, and when a rule is satisfied, the issue report is assigned to a team associated with the rule for investigation. Rules may access objects in the object model on a per-component level, thereby allowing issues to be assigned to teams at the level of individual components. Rules may also perform a root cause analysis of the issue based on the object model.
