Abstract:
A set top box includes a processor. The processor is configured to receive a digital video stream and identify an I-Frame within the digital video stream. The processor is further configured to receive rating information for the I-Frame and to block playback a portion of the digital video stream in response to the rating information.
Systems And Method For Determining Visual Media Information
A processor is configured to receive a digital video stream, calculate a hash of an I-Frame within the digital video stream, and submit the hash to a server. The processor is further configured to receive location information in response to submitting the hash to the server.

Abstract:
Various embodiments of the disclosed subject matter provide methods and systems to automatically identify preferred distributed programming content based on subscriber-specific profile information generated at least in part from a subscriber's viewing history of viewing broadcast television programs delivered via a television distribution system, automatically store information indicative of the identified preferred distributed programming content, and generate a personalized list of the identified preferred distributed programming content, the personalized list, displayed on initial activation of a video system, including at least one image of the identified preferred distributed programming content.

Abstract:
A method of delivering video content includes identifying a television program scheduled to be broadcast at a time during a peak viewing period, and identifying a recipient multimedia storage device that is to receive video content associated with the television program. The method also includes sending the video content associated with the television program to the recipient multimedia storage device during a non-peak viewing period that precedes the peak viewing period. The video content includes data to prevent viewing of the video content prior to the time when the television program is scheduled to be broadcast.
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying video content having a scheduled broadcast time during a first viewing period that satisfies a viewership threshold and facilitating a transfer of the video content to a multimedia storage device. The video content is transferred to the multimedia storage device during a second viewing period prior to the first viewing period. The video content includes the data to prevent the multimedia storage device from sending the video content to another device prior to the time when the program is scheduled to be broadcast. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Multimedia System And Method For Streaming Synchronization
A multimedia system includes a source device for providing a media stream and a sink device for playing the media stream. The source device encapsulates the media stream into data packets with corresponding timestamps associated with a first wall time, and transmits the data packets to the sink device based on the timestamps and the first wall time. The sink device provides a second wall time based on the second global clock, synchronizes the second wall time with the first wall time through a network protocol, generates a local media clock, and locks the local media clock to the second global clock. The sink device decapsulates the data packets, and then plays the media stream with the locked local media clock. A play-out time of each data packet is determined by a corresponding timestamp and the second wall time.
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying a request to record video content at a multimedia storage device, wherein the video content corresponds to a program having a scheduled broadcast time that occurs during a peak viewing period. Data is obtained to prevent viewing of the video content prior to the broadcast time. The video content, responsive to the identifying of the request, is sent selectively to the multimedia storage device during a non-peak viewing period prior to the peak viewing period. The video content includes the data to prevent the multimedia storage device from sending the video content to another device prior to the time when the program is scheduled to be broadcast. Other embodiments are disclosed.
