Abstract:
A portable and sealable waste disposal receptacle receives human waste material through an opening in an outer chamber. The waste passes through an inner chamber, which is suspended within the outer chamber, and passes through a one-way valve located at the bottom of the inner chamber into a lower chamber portion of the outer chamber. The one-way valve is fashioned from the bottom edges of the inner chamber, where a biasing strip is mounted in compression along one of the bottom edges, which causes the bottom edges of the inner chamber to be biased closed in sealing contact except when waste enters the inner chamber, the weight of which is sufficient to overcome the closing bias of the biasing strip, allowing the waste to flow into the lower chamber. Once the waste has cleared the inner chamber, the biasing member causes the bottom edges to come together in sealing contact, preventing the flow of waste back through the inner chamber.

Abstract:
The present invention may be used for support of a human on a cushion. A mattress apparatus may have a base member of generally rectangular shape with four upstanding peripheral side walls. A plurality of bars may be disposed on the base member in a rectangular matrix configuration and the plurality of bars may have a separation space longitudinally and laterally between adjacent bars. A gas member of generally elongated tubular shape may be positioned longitudinally in each of the longitudinal separation spaces with each of the gas members having a gas conduit connected to a first pressurized gas source. Lateral gas tubes that may be of generally rectangular shape may be positioned transversally of the longitudinal gas tubes with a first end of each lateral gas tube connected to the first pressurized gas source or to a second pressurized gas source. A bed sheet covering the base member to enclose the top of the mattress apparatus.
An improved ostomy bag comprises an outwardly facing irrigation line attachment adapter. A removable vent housing may be attached to the attachment adapter, where the vent housing is attached during normal operation of the ostomy bag, where the vent housing may comprise a charcoal filter and a scent absorbing medium for reducing odors which may vent from the ostomy bag. The vent housing is attached with quick-connect connectors, and is easily removed so that a conduit may be attached to the attachment adapter, where the conduit is attached to a source of flushing liquid, such as a squeezable reservoir or faucet.

Abstract:
The ostomy bag comprises an outer chamber comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, and an inner chamber. The inner chamber may comprise a one-way valve that limits the back flow of the bodily wastes from the lower portion of the bag to the upper portion. The one-way valve may comprise a biasing member and the biasing member may have a length that is longer then the length of the bottom of the inner chamber walls. The bag may comprise an irrigation system that provides for the flushing of both the inner and the outer chambers simultaneously. The irrigation tube of the irrigation system may comprise slits along the portion of the irrigation tube that resides within the inner chamber and the lower portion of the outer chamber.

Abstract:
A shoe has a sole member which has a fluid chamber in the front, a fluid chamber in the back, and a channel which connects the two fluid chambers. A viscous fluid is contained in each of the fluid chambers. An orifice or a valve is disposed within the channel, where the orifice or valve provides for limited flow of the viscous fluid between the two chambers as the chambers are subjected to a change in loading as a user walks in the shoe.
