Radiologic Technologist - In radiology department, emergency room and operating room; film- cassette radiography, regular fluoro, portables (including wireless), c-arms, diagnostic, surgical, trauma, tomography, PACS, gastrointestinal, orthopedics, urology, digital and computed radiography. Did images for trauma cases; anterior cervical fusions; posterior cervical fusions; cervical lamis; arthograms (following contrast) with c-arm set up for cine runs, declot dialysis grafts, urology studies (retro grade contrast with double J stent placement) while continuously keeping in mind not to contaminate the sterile field. Competent in doing tomo cuts of kidneys in IVP exam or any other body part although with CT many of these studies are no longer done; perform barium (single or double contrast) exams, gastrografin studies or small bowel series. These studies are performed only after blood work, patient history, past allergic reactions, doctors orders or any other contraindications. Taught clinical procedures in Radiology course to Junior Class and Senior Class students from two different schools and supported newly hired technicians. When the hospital transitioned from film-based to film-less technology, I trained other technicians and functioned as the go-to person for technical and/or computer issues. I have worked many various off-shifts (frequently as lead tech) with limited staff, both unsupervised and supervised; can effectively manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, am highly analytical, organized and detail- oriented and consistently to the extra mile to ensure patient safety, care and comfort.
