Abstract:

A rigid folding device for rolling up sleeping bags, self-inflating sleeping pads, airbeds, flexible foam mats, bed covers, other similar beddings, or the like is provided that consists of a rectangular or oblong shaped frame-like construction, with adequate opening for the thickness-wise insertion of the short end of a sleeping bag, or pad, or airbed, or mat, or bed cover, or similar bedding, or the like. The frame device is sufficiently strong and rigid to allow adequate force to be applied for the rolling up process. This invention can be fabricated from a single piece or from an assortment of attachable and detachable rod, pipe or strip-like members. When using this folding device, the bedding or the like is first inserted into the middle open space, between and parallel to the two longer sides of the frame device. The shorter sides of the frame are gripped and turned to compress the roll. After compressing and securing the roll, the device may remain embedded since it is light weight and occupies little space. The exposed portion may also serve as a handle for transporting the bundle. For embodiments with multiple joinable and detachable members, the device may be extracted after securing the roll. One embodiment with a hook-like attachment when used horizontally also doubles as a hanger for “mummy” bags or the like that require long-term storage in an uncompressed state.

Abstract:

A reusable, pressurize-able, foldable and flexible dispenser pack for hot or cold liquids or food is described as consisting an insulation jacket, an enclosed chemical bladder and an innermost product bladder. The chemical bladder contains exothermic material when activated would produce heat and pressure. The chemical and product bladders are formed to be easily accessible to the insides of the bladders for refilling chemicals and products, respectively. When used specifically for heating water, the dispenser pack can be fitted with a shower head for showering; or a coffee/espresso filter bead for making fresh brewed coffee or espresso.

Abstract:

A self heating individual meal package includes a quantity of foodstuff to be heated. The package consists of a thermal insulated outer pouch. Within the package is an electrolytic-solvent activated exothermic-chemical pad or powder enclosed in an absorbent envelope, a bag containing electrolytic solvent and a pouch for foodstuff. The solvent bag is affixed to a board material which provides a rigid structure for the functioning of a tear filament pull-tab mechanism or the rupturing of the solvent bag. The pull-tab is affixed to the solvent bag so that when pulled the bag will open and the electrolytic solvent within can flow out to trigger the exothermic reaction.

A self-stable, light weight, foldable and easily assembled road signaling device for disabled vehicle warning or the temporary channeling of traffic, comprising of a flexible warning panel and base. The polygonal panel and complimentary base are formed from the cut lines on an unitary flat sheet body. When the warning panel is folded upright, the base is formed from the remaining unit. Alternatively, the signaling device comprises of a flexible panel affixed to a flat light weight base. The panel is coated with fluorescent or reflective material. Shaped to reduce air drag and constructed of flexible material, in wind or turbulence, the whole warning panel will sway about the stationary base.

Abstract:

A time-delayed enlarged three-dimensional (3D) gravitational wave detection system may include a three optical fibers along three axes (X, Y, and Z-axis); and a laser signal source operatively linked with the three optical fibers; wherein structures of the three optical fibers are identical, and are adapted to pick up space/lengths changed caused by gravitational waves. And, the laser signal source includes a narrow linewidth laser to generate laser lights, an electro-optic modulator (EOM) connected with the narrow linewidth laser to modulate the phase of laser light, and a RF signal source connected to the EOM to provide ultra-stable RF signal to the EOM. In one embodiment, said narrow linewidth laser is adapted for carrying the ultra-stable RF signal, and said ultra-stable RF source is used for detecting length changes caused by the gravitational waves.
