Abstract:

A skateboard deck is formed of several layers pressed and bonded together. Apertures are formed through the bottom-most layers, and impact support members are arranged within the apertures. The impact support members are more rigid than the other portions of the skateboard deck, and provide localized impact support while allowing the remaining layers of the deck to retain their performance characteristics and feel while strengthening the most vulnerable areas of the deck.

One or more slots are formed through a plurality of the middle layers of such a deck, and an elongate rod is arranged within each slot. The elongate rods, when cured, are more rigid than the other layers of the skateboard deck, and provide impact dispersion and torsion resistance while allowing the remaining layers of the deck to retain their performance characteristics and feel.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for independently upgradeable docking stations are discussed herein. One or more chipsets of a docking station may provide services to a host device, and each may use a corresponding firmware. The docking station may receive chipset firmware update data for one or more of the chipsets. In a first case, this data is received from a universal serial bus (USB) storage device (which in some cases can independently update its copy of the chipset firmware update data with a cloud server). In other cases, this data is received from a cloud server using a network interface system on a chip (which may be internal to, or separately connected to, the docking station). The docking station performs this receipt and/or the corresponding firmware update with no input from any host device that may (or may not) be attached, and/or without interrupting chipset services of any such host device.

The claimed invention relates to an enhanced mobile health detection and monitoring system utilizing non-invasive saliva screening of real-time health metrics coupled with remote deep analysis of body characteristics. Health information is derived from a combination of local chemical markers which are optically collected, locally reported and broadcast over a ‘cloud based’ internet data distribution system.
