Abstract:

Systems and methods of performing video analysis related to a video of an electronic terminal. In one exemplary embodiment, a method is performed by an electronic device that includes processing circuitry. The method may include causing a display to play a video that shows an electronic terminal, automatically detecting a captured event related to the electronic terminal in the video, capturing first time stamp information corresponding to a time point in the video that the captured event occurs in the video, and predicting a future event associated with the captured event related to the electronic terminal in the video. The method may also include capturing and outputting second time stamp information corresponding to a time point in the video that the predicted future event is detected to have occurred in the video.

Abstract:

A method includes receiving a first image of an item captured by a first camera when the item is purchased and linking the first image to a transaction component corresponding to the purchase of the item. The method also includes determining that the first image is linked to the transaction component and, in response to a request from a user device to display the item and in response to determining that the first image is linked to the transaction component, communicating the first image to the user device.

Systems and methods for implementing actions on activity data acquired during a POS function are disclosed. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a method includes receiving, by one or more processors, activity data acquired by a wearable device worn by a user during a POS function. The method also includes analyzing, by the processor(s), the activity data in comparison to a stored model of user activity during the POS function. Further, the method includes executing an action based on the analysis of the activity data.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for indicating content characteristics of spaced-apart areas in a retail environment are disclosed. According to an aspect, a system includes an item identifier for identifying an item. Detectors are placed at different spaced-apart areas and configured to detect the placement of items at the spaced-apart areas. The system may also include one or more indicators configured to indicate content characteristics of each of the spaced-apart areas. The system may also include an item processing manager configured to receive identification of the item from the item identifier. The item processing manager may determine placement of the item at one of the areas based on a detection of the placement of the item at that area. The item processing manager may also control the indicator to indicate one of the content characteristics based on the identification of the item in response to determining placement of the item at the respective area.

Abstract:

Method, computer program product, and system to facilitate a checkout transaction for a person within an environment having a plurality of items. The method includes determining, using a visual sensor disposed within the environment, image information associated with the person. The method further includes analyzing the image information to identify one or more of the plurality of items that are selected by the person to be presented during the checkout transaction. In some cases, the method also includes determining whether the identified items belong to a predetermined class of items deemed to be “difficult.” The method further includes determining, based on the one or more identified items, a level of assistance to provide to the person during the checkout transaction.
