Abstract:

A system and method for creating or editing a graph diagram. A system provides a mechanism to specify constraints on edge way points. Constraints may specify alignment with other way points, distribution of way points, spacing from other way points or nodes, or other types of constraints. A system may automatically determine edge way point constraints based on edge direction, edge type, target nodes or regions of nodes, or other characteristics of edges. The system enables a combination of constraints specified by a user and automatically determined by the system. Way points are positioned based on associated constraints, and edges are routed based on their associated way points.

Abstract:

A computer implemented method of suggesting replacement words for words of a string. In the method, an input string of input words is received. The input words are then matched to subject words of a candidate table. Next, candidate replacement words and scores from the candidate table corresponding to the matched subject words are extracted. Each score is indicative of a probability that the input word should be replaced with the corresponding candidate replacement word. Finally, replacement of the input words with their corresponding candidate replacement words is selectively suggested based on the scores for the replacement words. Another aspect of the present invention is directed to a spell checking system that is configured to implement the method.

Some implementations provide low power reduced sampling of global positioning system (GPS) locations. A server may be configured to assist a mobile device in determining a location from a plurality of GPS signal samples and corresponding time stamps provided by the mobile device, such as by identifying a set of possible reference locations, which may be used to calculate a location of the mobile device. In another example, the mobile device may sample GPS signals using a GPS receiver, compress the samples, and provide the compressed samples to the server for processing.

A secure remote access computing system for executing tasks on a secure private network requested by an unsecured remote computing device connected to the secure private network by way of a public communication network, without exposing any device in the secure private network other than a designated network interface device to the public communication network. Abstract:

The effective use of weak GPS signals that are present in various environments enables an electronic device to pinpoint its location in such environments. The electronic device uses an antenna to perform sequential scanning in multiple directions for global positioning system (GPS) signals. The electronic device further analyzes GPS signals obtained from scanning the multiple directions to determine a number of acquired GPS satellites that provided the GPS signals. The GPS signals include code phases of the acquired GPS satellites. The electronic device then computes a location of the electronic device based on the code phases of the acquired GPS satellites when the number of acquired GPS satellites meets a threshold.

Relational data is extracted from spreadsheets. A relational data extraction program is synthesized, where this synthesized program is consistent with examples of relational data associated with a spreadsheet. The synthesized program is executed on the spreadsheet, which extracts a set of tuples therefrom that is consistent with these examples, and generates a table that includes the extracted set of tuples. A program is received that specifies a set of constraints defining relational data to be extracted from a spreadsheet, where this set of constraints includes cell constraints and spatial constraints.
