Abstract:

A lightweight, portable pet bed is described. It features an open structure with a hollow ring around its periphery. This ring can trap air which provides a thermal barrier for the pet. A thermoelectric unit is mounted to its underside with appropriate ducting for air circulation so that, depending on the electrical connection, heating or cooling is provided to a sink which is integral with the platform in the pet bed. The pet bed can also provide holes in the platform to secure an appropriate mat for the pet to lay on and to cover the sink which forms a part of the platform. A host of shapes are contemplated, including rectangular, round, oval, and the like. The thermoelectric or other heating or cooling unit can be manually controlled or thermostatically controlled. The units are stackable for easy storage or for shipping or display.

A flexible accessory bag (35) for releasable attachment to a lid or cover (20) on a container (10), such as an ice chest or cooler, which is pivoted between open and closed positions of the container (10). The accessory bag (35) has a pair of opposed ends (36, 38) which are secured by elastic bands (54, 56) to opposed lid ends (27, 28) and a pair of zippered pockets (40, 42) secured to the bag ends (36, 38) extend over the lid (20).

Abstract:

A liquid level sensor for a tank includes coaxial inner and outer tubes having lower ends extending into the tank and upper ends projecting from the tank, with the upper end of the inner tube projecting from the outer tube and disposed a known distance from the top of the tank. A switch assembly includes a switch disposed in the inner tube and operable in response to proximity to a switch actuator which is carried by a float encircling the outer tube and movable therealong with the liquid level, the switch being connected across a pair of electrical conductors extending from the upper end of the inner tube. An indicator strip extends lengthwise of the conductors and is held thereagainst by a transparent sleeve, the strip having indicia indicating distance to the switch. Plastic cable ties extend through openings in the inner tube and snugly hold the switch assembly against the inner tube to permit manual axial movement of the switch assembly while preventing inadvertent movement thereof. The upper end of the inner tube is cut away to permit observation of alignment of the indicia with a reference mark on the inner tube.
