The second annual Booth Gives Back expanded from one day of service to a month of volunteer programming, including an inner-city school cleanup in conjunction with the Big Shoulders Fund, an animal shelter volunteer event in conjunction with PAWS Chicago, a Chicago River cleanup in conjunction with Friends of the Chicago River, and a food drive in conjunction with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Service opportunities were organized by a committee of students in the Evening and Weekend Programs and staffed by Booth student and alumni volunteers from all programs. These opportunities provided occasion to give back to the Chicago community that many of the Booth programs call home.
