Abstract:
Carbohydrate-based glassy matrices which are stable in the glassy state at ambient temperatures may be prepared by the use of aqueous plasticizers with melt extrusion. Such glassy matrices are useful for the encapsulation of encapsulates, in particular, flavoring agents.
Cake-Resistant, Hygroscopically Sensitive Materials And Process For Producing The Same
The resistance to caking of normally hygroscopic materials, such as spray-dried hydrolyzed vegetable protein, upon exposure to high humidity conditions may be improved by increasing the average minimum dimension of the hygroscopic material and a carrier material to 125 to 2,000 microns.

Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for signaling an event using fragrance are disclosed. A fragrance emitting device is activated to a low battery voltage indicator in an electronic device, serving as a warning to replace the battery, either in place of or complimentary to conventional indicators such as warning lights or audible signals. The fragrance emitting system can be integrated into the electronic device itself or can be part of the battery.

Abstract:
Described is a method for imparting a substantive fragrance to fabrics being washed or dried in a washing machine or clothes dryer by means of tumbling the fabrics with one or more sachets, each of which contains fragrance-containing particles. The polymer particles comprise an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, a blend of polyethylene and an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, an ester-terminated polyamide, a blend of an ester-terminated polyamide and a polysaccharide and/or a C–Calkyl methacrylate polymer. A method for producing fragrance-containing particles is also disclosed.

Abstract:
Described is a process for imparting a fragrance to, and/or eliminating a malodour from solid or semi-solid surfaces through the use of polymeric particles. The polymeric particles have infrastructures composed of ethylene-vinyl copolymers, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene and/or ethylcellulose. Also described are aqueous treatment compositions for use in such processes.

Abstract:
A polymeric encapsulated fragrance is disclosed which is suitable for use in personal care and cleaning products. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the fragrance is encapsulated by a first polymer material to form a fragrance encapsulated polymer, the polymer encapsulated shell is then coated with a cationic polymer, preferably a cationic starch and guar.

Abstract:
A polymeric encapsulated fragrance is disclosed which is suitable for use in personal care and cleaning products. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fragrance is encapsulated by a first polymer material to form a fragrance encapsulated polymer, the polymer encapsulated shell is then coated with a mixture of cationic polymers, in a preferred embodiment the coating polymers are a reaction product of polyamines (including 1H-imidazole) and (chloromethyl) oxirane or (bromomethyl) oxirane.
