Abstract:

This application discloses a hard disk drive using a self-resonant frequency band of a Voice Coil Motor far above its operational frequency band to predict Rapid Off Track events before its head stack assembly can deliver the disruption to the slider writing a track. A circuit board and/or an integrated circuit are disclosed in various embodiments to predict the ROT events using the self-resonant frequency band and/or to respond to the prediction to suppress the slider writing.

Abstract:

A diode is comprised of a doped region formed with a first dopant of a first conductivity type. In addition, the diode further comprises a substrate doped with a second dopant of a second conductivity type opposite of the first conductivity type. The lightly doped substrate, instead of a well, abuts the doped region for minimizing a junction capacitance of the diode. A method and system for facilitating the redemption of gift cards are described. Various gun sights and related methods are provided. In one embodiment, a gun sight includes a light source adapted to project light, a user-viewable interface, and an optical element. The optical element includes a first surface adapted to pass the light to provide a reticle at the user-viewable interface. Abstract:

The present disclosure includes programmable snubber circuits and methods. In one embodiment, a circuit is configured between first and second power supply terminals. A programmable snubber circuit may be configured between the first and second power supplies to reduce ringing on the power supplies. In one embodiment, the circuit is a switching regulator and the power supply terminals are internal power supply terminals. The snubber circuit may be programmed to reduce ringing caused by switching currents through parasitic inductances in a package.
