Abstract:

The present invention is a reliable system and method for detecting a recorded voice, which can be employed independently or to provide protection from fraudulent use of a recording to defeat an automatic speaker recognition system. Several techniques and systems are employed either independently or in combination to verify that a detected audio sample is live and not recorded. Temporal speech characteristics of an audio sample are analyzed to determine whether a sample under examination is so similar to a previous sample as to indicate a recording. Communications channel characteristics are examined to determine whether an sample was recorded on a different channel from a predetermined communications channel. A pattern classifier is trained to distinguish between live and recorded speech. Finally, an âaudio watermarkâ is used to determine whether a detected audio sample is a recording of a previous communication by an authorized user.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for forwarding dispatch communications are provided. A dispatch communication forwarding request is sent to a dispatch processor or a dispatch communication forwarding server. A record associated with the dispatch station initiating the dispatch communication forwarding request is updated in a home location register to indicate that dispatch communications intended for the dispatch station should be forwarded to another dispatch station. The communication forwarding can be absolute such that all communications intended for one dispatch station are forwarded to another dispatch station. Abstract:

Systems and methods for obtaining location information for a communication station in a first domain by a communication station in a second domain are provided. The communication station in the second domain embeds a location request message in a message formatted according to a first communication protocol, and transmits the message formatted according to the first communication protocol to a proxy server. The proxy server removes the embedded request message and forwards it to a location server, which is located in the first domain. The proxy server receives a location response message and embeds it in another message formatted according to the first communication protocol. The proxy server then transmits the another message formatted according to the first communication protocol to the communication station in the second domain, which can remove the embedded location response message.

A method and computer-readable medium for precedence group calling in a dispatch station is provided. A communication station establishes a persistent connection with a proxy server and a temporary connection with a presence server. The temporary connection is established independent of the proxy server. The communication station provides and obtains presence information directly from the presence server over the temporary connection.
