Abstract:

A hair care appliance has a body with an outer layer, and a first end and a second end connected to the body. The first end and the second end are for grasping the hair care appliance. The hair care appliance also has an adhesive layer on the outer layer of the body, and a flocking with a material in/on the adhesive layer. Abstract:

A dispenser for heating a liquid in and dispensing a foam introduced from a canister. The dispenser has a heater for providing heat to the foam/liquid, a chamber with an inlet port and an outlet port and a base having an aperture and a first member. The chamber is in contact with the heater, and the outlet port is connected to a nozzle. The nozzle dispenses the heated foam. The dispenser also has a base adjoining. Abstract:

A hand-held buffing device having a body with at least two portions, a handle portion and a head portion is provided. The handle portion is preferably ergonomically shaped and/or oriented for convenient, comfortable handling and may preferably have a control interface for allowing an operator to control the operation of buffing device. Abstract:

There is provided a showerhead device that includes a shower stem connector, a water/air mixing chamber, and an outlet cap. The shower stem connector includes a water inlet to receive water from a standard shower plumbing system and an air intake opening to receive air from outside the device. The preferred embodiment features an air intake opening located near the water inlet on the shower stem connector. A user can adjust the air intake knob in order to vary the amount of air that enters the device and mixes with the water flow. As the water progresses through a nozzle in the device, the speed of the water is increased by the decrease in diameter of the nozzle orifice. The water mixes with the air and the combination of water/air hits a plate on the inner wall of the outlet cap within the mixing chamber. This oxygenation of the water provides for a better water flow though the showerhead device. The mix of water and air provides for a stronger water flow and a better shower experience for a user. By having the air intake further upstream, it enables a user to adjust the amount of air mixed in.

Abstract:

A low energy laser system for surgical purposes, in particular, ophthalmic surgery, comprises a source of pulsed laser energy. Er:YAG lasers having a wavelength of 3 microns are preferred. Optical fibers which are responsive to the laser energy deliver amounts of the laser energy to selected body tissue sufficient to perform delicate surgical procedures without adverse biological or chemical interaction with the tissue. In particular, a compound fiber assembly is preferred for delivery of laser energy having a wavelength above 2 microns which compound fiber comprises an elongated fiber body comprised of fluoride based glass, a surgical optical fiber tip of a hard, moderately transparent mineral, such as quartz or sapphire, and an element for coupling the optical fiber tip to the fluoride glass body.

A digital typesetter for imaging graphics quality characters of a specified font. The typesetter includes an electronic data processing system which receives first digital data defining the identity, form, size and placement of characters to be typeset; receives second digital data defining the contour of each character to be typeset with respect to a normalized encoding set of first and second coordinates; and produces third digital data defining the character boundaries intersecting a raster (scan) line. This third digital data, for at least a portion of the raster line extending the width of several characters, is temporarily stored in a raster line storage buffer.
