Abstract:

A system, method and computer program product are provided for equivalency checking between a first design and a second design having sequential differences. To accomplish the equivalency checking, sequential differences between a first design and a second design are identified. It is then determined whether the first design and the second design are equivalent, utilizing the identified sequential differences.

Abstract:

Techniques for automated configuration are provided. A first device detects a new device connected by one or more new links in a network, and the first device transmits, to a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server, a request for a first new subnet. The first device then assigns a first address of the first new subnet to a first new interface of the first device. The first device additionally transmits a second address of the first new subnet to the new device, where the new device uses the second address to establish connectivity to the network.

Techniques are disclosed relating to processing database transactions that include application operations defined by different object relational mapping (ORM) libraries. A transaction router module executing on a computer system receives, from an application, a request for a first database transaction, where the first database transaction includes first and second application operations. The transaction router module then translates the first application operation to one or more first database operations using a first ORM library and the second application operation to one or more second database operations using a second ORM library. Then, the transaction router module determines one or more database connections for the one or more first database operations and the one or more second database operations. Such techniques may advantageously allow applications to switch between using different persistence frameworks and message broker frameworks without substantial adjustments to application code.

Abstract:

An electronic device with a sealing layer is disclosed. The sealing layer may include several enhancements designed to improve the overall sealing performance. For instance, the sealing layer may include an adhesive material and several particles embedded in the adhesive material. The embedded particles may include liquid-activated particles that respond to liquid exposure. In some instances, the liquid-activated particles absorb the liquid. Additionally, the liquid-activated particles may expand and fill/cover areas previously occupied by the sealing layer or another structure of the electronic device. Further, the liquid-activated particles may adhere to one or more structures of the electronic device, thereby providing the sealing layer with sealing properties. As a result of the absorption/expansion/adhesion properties of the liquid-activated particles, the electronic device may maintain a specified ingress protection rating even subsequent to some form of breakdown of the sealing layer or damage to the electronic device.

Abstract:

In disclosed techniques, simulations are performed to determine data center performance under certain conditions. The simulations are dynamic and allow for changes in power demand due to temporal data center activities. In order to accommodate predicted and unpredicted fluctuations in power demand of a data center, one or more power caches are configured to supply additional power during periods of peak demand. Power caches provide supplemental power during periods of peak demand. The simulations are used for a variety of purposes, including determining the effects of power caches going offline under various conditions. Disclosed techniques can simulate the cycling of a power cache and can determine if additional configuration changes to the data center are warranted to maintain optimal health of the power caches. Thus, power scenario simulation of a data center can provide information vital to efficient operation of the data center.

Abstract:

Embodiments herein relate to methods and apparatus to achieve substantially uniform package thickness after forming a buildup layer on a package substrate of an integrated circuit. Some embodiments include applying a resin to the buildup layer to form a resin layer on top of at least a portion of the buildup layer and substantially evening out the surface formed by the resin layer. Some embodiments include vibrating a hot press onto the top surface of the buildup layer and vibrating the hot press in an ultrasonic and/or a scrubbing motion.
