Abstract:

The present invention provides a method of route optimization for a proxy mobile Internet protocol. The method may include providing information indicative of a first proxy address based on a first address associated with a first access terminal and receiving information indicative of a second proxy address associated with a second access terminal. The method may also include establishing a communication link between the first access terminal and the second access terminal based on the first and second proxy addresses such that the communication link does not include a home agent.

A method for maintaining routing information for a wireless device includes determining, by a target communications controller, an original address of the wireless device handed over from a source communications controller, where the original address is assigned by an original communications controller. Abstract:

A method of uniquely identifying a user equipment (UE) connected to a radio access network (RAN) includes: providing a radio access network intelligent controller (RIC) component associated with the RAN; configuring, by a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer, a default data radio bearer (DRB) for the UE to maintain Internet Protocol (I) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) connectivity with the RAN; and using, by the RIC, one of NG uplink (UL) user plane (UP) Transport Layer Information or S1 UL UP Transport Layer Information of the default DRB for uniquely identifying the UE for the entire time the UE is connected to the RAN. The unique identification for the UE is retained across at least one of i) multiple connectivity sessions for the UE, ii) multiple mobility sessions for the UE, and iii) multiple context sessions for the UE.

Abstract:

A method of performing validation of an access token under OAuth 2.0 protocol includes: providing, by an authorization server, the access token for service to a client in response to a request for the access token; adding, by the client, a client signature to at least the access token; forwarding, by the client, the access token as part of a service request to a resource server; and validating, by the resource server, whether the client is a valid owner of the access token, wherein the validation is based on at least the client signature of the access token. The validation is based on a hash of a combination of the service request, the access token and a shared secret key common to the client and the resource server, the output of which hash is added to the service request, and the resource server validates the hash.

Abstract:

A system and method are disclosed for a non-invasive scheme for application recognition using packet processing. The system and method determine the type of application based on meta-information about the packet flows, rather than on the contents of the packets. An embodiment method includes monitoring and storing, by a processor, direction values, timing values and size values of a sequence of packets for each of a plurality of application protocol types. The direction values are discrete, and the timing and size values are continuous. The method further includes training a hidden Markov model (HMM) for each of the application protocol types using a HMM training algorithm on the direction, timing and size values.

Abstract:

An embodiment method of routing network traffic includes configuring flow tables of a virtual switch using an OpenFlow protocol. The virtual switch is disposed at a network radio node. The method includes receiving network traffic destined for a user equipment (UE) at the virtual switch and establishing, by a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer, a data radio bearer (DRB) for the network traffic between a virtual port on the virtual switch and the UE. The method also includes routing the network traffic over the DRB from the virtual port, through the PDCP layer, and toward the UE according to the flow tables.
