Abstract:

An adjustable handlebar assembly for a saddle-type vehicle includes a base member, a support member, a left handlebar and a right handlebar. The support member is rotatably coupled to the base member and each of the left handlebar and the right handlebar is attached to the support member. The support member is configured to permit the left handlebar and the right handlebar to be selectively moved relative to the support member and the base member, independently of one another, to selectively adjust each of the left handlebar and the right handlebar in respective, generally longitudinal directions along a saddle-type vehicle, when the adjustable handlebar assembly is pivotally coupled to a frame of the saddle-type vehicle.

Abstract:

A bracket system including a bracket for use with a deck or boardwalk system. The bracket has an upper portion and a lower portion at least partially spaced away from the upper portion. The bracket is configured to receive a portion of the deck or boardwalk system between said upper and lower portions. The bracket further includes a fastener extending between the upper and lower portions and configured to urge the upper and lower portions toward each other to thereby press against the portion of the deck or boardwalk system therebetween to secure the bracket to the portion of the deck or boardwalk system.

Compostible compositions in the form of homogeneous mixtures containing 20-80% by weight unvulcanized, uncured C4-C6 alkadiene elastomer, e. g. , natural rubber, 5-20% of modifier, e. g. , casein, dextrose, starch or mixtures thereof, 1-40% filler, e. g. , titanium dioxide or fibrous clay, 0-30% wax, e. g. , carnauba wax, 0-40% styrene resin, e. g. , polystyrene, 0-10% additive, e. g. , bis-steramide, and 0-20% yeast are disclosed. Abstract:

Improved adhesive tabs for fastening disposable garments, e. g. , diapers, about the body of a wearer by adhering the tab to an outer portion of the garment made of plastic film of predetermined tensile strength carry a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating having an adhesive strength when plotted as the ordinate against speed of removal from a reference substrate as the abscissa that asymptotically approaches, but does not exceed, the value of the film's predetermined tensile strength whereby the adhesive tab may be repeatedly adhered to and removed from the garment outer portion to fasten and unfasten the garment without tearing its outer portion film. The required adhesive strength property of the adhesive tabs is attached by constructing them to include a backing web, preferably a laminated, multi-layer web, and a first layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive covering one surface of the web, adhering a sheet of non-woven fabric to such first layer on the side thereof opposite to the web and having a second layer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive covering the surface of such sheet opposite to the web so the second layer presents an adhesive surface opposite to the non-woven sheet by which the tab may be adhered to the garment outer portion film.

Disposable articles that mitigate environmental problems when charged into solid waste landfills have a moisture barrier layer in the form of a compostible flexible sheet composed of 20-80% by weight unvulcanized, uncured C4-C6 alkadiene elastomer, e. g. , natural rubber, 5-20% of modifier, e. g. , casein, dextrose, starch or mixtures thereof, 1-40% filler, e. g. , titanium dioxide or fibrous clay, 0-30% wax, e. g. , carnauba wax, 0-40% styrene resin, e. g. , polystyrene, 0-10% additive, e. g. , bis-steramide, and 0-20% yeast. Typically, the sheets have a thickness of about 1 to 10 mils and an ultimate tensile strength of at least 200 grams per inch of width.
