Abstract:
A method for reducing reflection of undesirable light in an opto-electronic package includes the coating of the interior surfaces of the package with light absorbing materials. Accordingly, when stray or scattered light is incident on package surfaces, reflections are minimized and therefore the optical noise, interference and feedback are reduced.

Abstract:
Wavelength reference apparatus for use in calibrating a tunable Fabry-Perot filter or a tunable VCSEL, whereby the device may be tuned to a precise, known wavelength, the wavelength reference apparatus comprising an LED, where the LED is chosen so as to have an emission profile which varies with wavelength; an etalon, where the etalon is chosen so as to have a transmission profile which comprises a comb of transmission peaks, with each transmission peak occurring at a precise, known wavelength; and a detector for detecting the light emitted by the LED and passing through the etalon; whereby when a tunable Fabry-Perot filter or tunable VCSEL is positioned between the etalon and the detector, and the device is swept through its tuning range by varying the tuning voltage applied to the device, the known transmission wavelengths established by the LED and the etalon can be correlated to counterpart tuning voltages of the device, whereby to calibrate the device.
Retro-Reflective Etalon And The Devices Using The Same
Described are optical devices called retro-reflective etalon filter and wide tunable semiconductor lasers using the retro-reflective etalon filter. The reflection optical spectrum of the retro-reflective etalon has the double-pass transmission characteristic of the etalon used within the retro-reflective etalon. The retro-reflective etalon(s) can be used as the reflective end mirror(s) of the wide tunable semiconductor laser. The retro-reflective etalon also can act as the wavelength locker of the laser. The proposed retro-reflective etalon is easy to be manufactured and the wide tunable semiconductor lasers are easy to be implemented by using the retro-reflective etalon.
A low profile optoelectronic package is provided. The thermal electrical coolers are mounted on the sidewalls of the package box. The sides of the platform on which optical components are disposed are attached on the top surface of the thermal electrical coolers. The overall height of the package is reduced. For an open bottom package box, the platform can be accessed from the bottom.
An laser cavity including a special wavelength selection filter is disclosed. The special wavelength selection filter comprises of one or two linear polarizer, two quarter waveplates, an etalon filter and an end reflector. The laser may oscillate on single wavelength or multiple wavelengths depending on the selection of the end reflector and the etalon filter. The laser is designed very compact without a wavelength locker to have a stable wavelength output.
Thermally Tunable Laser With Single Solid Etalon Wavelength Locker
A thermally tunable semiconductor laser and a wavelength locker are integrated on one single platform. The temperature of the platform, and the semiconductor, and the wavelength locker is actively adjusted by a thermal electrical cooler. The etalon has a free space range of material dispersion compensated according to the refractive index dependence on the wavelength of the etalon and temperature compensated according to the wavelength dependence of the temperature of the semiconductor laser. The locking point value is adjusted during the operation according to the measured temperature of the etalon.

Abstract:
Acid-neutralizing agent contains substantial amount of calcium of an acid-neutralizing ability against various acid chemicals substance for humans, animals, agricultural produces, meat and poultry. And the method of producing the same are provided. An environmental friendly high speed and high press scraping treatment is applied to a calcium-containing substance represented by calcium carbonate-containing substances originating from shellfishes, to eliminate heavy metals and other contamination accumulated on the surface. A heating and baking treatment is applied separately to the different said shellfishes and calcium carbonate-containing minerals and charcoal of bamboo to the temperature and maintaining the temperature not less then the decompose point of each calcium component-containing substance, a sufficient time of heating and baking treatment from 3 hours up to 18 hours depend on materials treated. An ionization and stabilization process is applied to the decomposed calcium components substance in high temperature. A regular pulverizing process is applied to grind the said calcium-containing substance into 500 mesh sizes of powder. A Nano pulverizing process is applied to the said powder into sizes not larger then 18000000 mesh (size of Nano). A formulation process is applied to the different pulverized calcium containing powder in different percentage to formulas which suitable for different applications.
