An advertising service divides a consumer transaction at a POS location into multiple time frames. The service then determines an advertisement (ad) for display in one of the time frames and displays the ad in one of the time frames. Determining the ad for display in one of the time frames includes transmitting information about the transaction to an ad-management service that then determines the ad for display based on the transmitted information. A response indicates the determined ad.

Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and an apparatus for video decoding. In some embodiments, the apparatus for video decoding includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry decodes at least one syntax element from a coded video bitstream. The at least one syntax element is indicative of a block size of a non-square block under reconstruction that has a rectangular shape. The block size includes a first size in a first dimension and a second size in a second dimension. The first size is different from the second size. The processing circuitry predicts a sample of the non-square block based on a first set of intra prediction directions for the non-square block. The first set of intra prediction directions does not include at least one of a second set of intra prediction directions for a square block.

Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and devices for platelet function analysis. An impedance-based micro platelet function test device comprises a pair of micro-fabricated 3D electrodes for measuring an electrical impedance between the pair electrodes during a platelet function test, and a microfluidic chamber enclosing the pair of electrodes. At least one of the electrodes comprises an electrode core coated with a metal coating, the metal coating has a patterned surface structure derived from a patterned surface of the electrode core, and the microfluidic chamber has an inlet for accepting a blood sample comprising platelets for the platelet function test. The measured electrical impedance characterizes platelet aggregation in the blood sample. Such micro platelet function test methods and devices provide a low-cost, micro electrical-mechanical system based testing platform that enable accurate and repeatable platelet function analyses.

Various aspects of the subject technology related to systems and methods for performing real-time probabilistic root cause correlation. A system may be configured to receive network topology data from a plurality of external sources and generate a cross-layer network topology. The system may generate an event model based on the cross-layer network topology. The event model models the causal relationship between root causes and one or more observed failure events that are associated with one or more network entities. The system may receive a plurality of network event data for one or more network entities identified in the cross-layer network topology. The system may infer, using a trained Bayesian network, a root cause of at least one failure event indicated in the plurality of network event data based on the plurality of network event data and the generated event model. The system output the inferred root cause correlated to the failure event indicated in the plurality of network event data.
